Its like you read my mind! You appear to know so much about this,
like you wrote the guide in it or something. I believe that you can do with some % to power the message home a bit,
however other than that, this is wonderful blog. A great read.

Gonna miss you on there, Nathan, but your reasoning is most thoughtful – as always. I’ve always been cautious about what I put on FB. You won’t find my cell, or any references to my address other than city/state, and only on the rarest of occasions do I post anything that suggests where I am – or am not.

But you’re right – there’s an addiction there. On the upside, FB has helped me reconnect with many, many friends from years past – that’s a great, great thing. On the downside, I don’t necessarily like how some of them have turned out, and I don’t really care if I see every banal little detail of their lives. I’m still on the fence. Not quitting yet.

So, my best kept secret is that I have a blog, too. With damned few posts. But I’m working on it. Check out the antiques on, “Curmudgeon Stew.” Won’t have much at all to do with work.

So, you could just get a Thin Client to lower your carbon footprint and get rid of the physical desktop. Then all you need is a VDA subscription for that Thin Client.

It still leaves me wondering on Microsoft licensing… With the example in this post, I have all these devices I can access my VDI session from to do my work, great, what am I going to use the Windows 8 desktop with SA for? I still need a company owned desktop / laptop device powerful enough (and using up those kWh’s) to run Win 8 just to log on and jump straight to my VDI session?

So, I just chuckled. It doesn’t mean to make ‘tracking’ easier, but it does finally being a more cost effective model to what we had. So it is a benefit rather than buying VDA for every mobile device a person has.
